Pioneer Institute draws on facts and figures, and the deep expertise of our senior staff, to drive the conversation we need to have right now about how to make the T not only perform acceptably – but to serve Massachusetts residents with excellence. 

We want to provide the public with this research tool so residents can see how the MBTA stands up to other transit agencies.  In some measures we exceed our peers in operations and efficiency; in others, we fall short.  In any case, for our economy to prosper and for the quality of life to be high in the state, much focus needs to be placed
on this very essential organization.
